Summary
The Procurement Specialist provides procurement support to the major spending categories of indirect procurement for country/cluster support. Interviews, selects, and negotiates with vendors. Works closely with suppliers and internal associates including R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain. Develop a strong, resilient supplier base for competitive sourcing, enabling ambitious business growth. This position typically reports to a Procurement Manager or Sr. Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages day-to-day activities within designated supplier relationships in their assigned categories /region for Indirect materials.Work with close coordination with regional/ Global procurement and local supply chain as well as internal stakeholders.Identifies, communicates, and supports process improvements for materials or services in assigned areas and with key stakeholders as requiredResponsible for sourcing part of GMI (Gross Margin Improvement), Localization projects, and supply resiliency.Responsible for financial reporting of savings projects and headwinds. Manages the tight materials process to ensure the security of supplyLeads savings projects on Direct/Indirect/EQ Categories, TDC sourcing process or other initiatives that support achieving team goalsBuild up a supplier pool to support the resiliency program
Job Requirements
- 2-3 Years of Experience in indirect procurement
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, chemistry, or related business degree
