“In the role as Procurement Project Manager we are looking for a dynamic colleague with a talent for strategic project management, a keen interest in sourcing and/or supply chain, and a passion towards working with a variety of different projects & tasks. You will join our Ingredients & International procurement department for a 9-12 month term, making significant contributions to Arla Foods” says Procurement Sr. Director, Bob den Hartog.
Based in Aarhus, Denmark, this role involves collaboration with a diverse team spread across Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, and Bahrain. You will report to & work closely with our Senior Director of Procurement, Bob den Hartog, on a variety of structural projects and, occasionally, dive into category management or contract negotiations with our external partners.
How you will make an impact
As a project manager you will engage in projects, applying your procurement skills and insights on strategic, tactical and operational levels, along with supporting the business on ad hoc tasks and analytic initiatives.
Your main responsibilities will include to:
Drive initiatives within dual & flexible sourcing and potentially best-cost-country sourcing Strengthen how we engage in supplier relationship management across our sourced ingredient categories together with the respective category responsible Reinforce our structured approach to category strategies together with our innovation & quality counterparts incl. addressing efficiencies and business continuity / resilience Engage on how procurement can continue to support Arla Foods as we grow more internationally Potentially manage ingredient categories, the scope of this responsibility evolving with business needs including traditional category management and commercial & contractual negotiations Support the business & our team with ad hoc tasks, structural improvement projects and various initiatives – with an eye out for ways we can be even more effective
What will make you successful
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
A master’s degree within a commercial direction, e.g. business administration, international business or similar Experience in managing projects, ideally within a global context or employer Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across cultures and diverse backgrounds Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint skills and strong Microsoft Excel competencies English - fluency in both written and spoken
