Reporting to the General Manager Procurement, the Procurement Officer is responsible for the provision of effective and timely procurement services to all Divisions that currently encompass Liebherr Australia and New Zealand. The Procurement Officers focus is on planning, developing, sourcing and managing the procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives
About the Role Conduct sourcing activities and participate in negotiations with the intention to establish commercial agreements Identify stakeholder business needs, compile and source market information, identify and assess market risks and opportunities Run competitive tenders and assist in the supplier evaluation process Develop category management plans, identify opportunities for improvement, resolve issues, monitor supplier performance and negotiate contract variations to enhance business value Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements Skills & experience Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business or Law highly regarded Demonstrated experience and detailed knowledge and understanding of procurement, tender and contract management practices and procedures. CIPS Certification highly regarded Intermediate negotiation skills Strong soft skills to influence internal and external stakeholders and build meaningful relationshipsAbout You
