Job Description

This is a hybrid role in Perrysburg, Ohio. 

This position is accountable for the procurement of materials and services required to support an assigned commodity. The position will ensure compliance with OI Global Procurement policies and utilize procurement processes that follow best practices to achieve best total cost of ownership and best value for OI.         

Responsibilities: 

Development and execution of commodity strategy, aligned with the appropriate Global Sourcing ManagerSupervise procurement activities of Procurement Managers and/or SpecialistsAssists Director and cross functional teams with supplier assessments & supplier selectionCollaborate with the Global Sourcing team to ensure regional activities are aligned with Global strategyLeverage Global Sourcing Team to drive additional value within assigned region/countriesCollaborate with internal customers to ensure timely receipt of required materialsConduct required supply market research and develop cost models to support sourcing projectsLeverage best practices, acquire category expertise and develop global / regional partnerships whenever possibleEnsure implementation and management of cost advantaged contracts and price agreementsDevelop and issue RFI / RFP / RFQ activities for new and existing requirements leveraging the Strategic Sourcing ProcessIssues quote requests to suppliers and negotiates pricing to meet business requirements at competitive price levelsManage supplier performance in order to meet all quality, delivery, and service requirementsDevelop and track KPI’s / metrics including cost savings, working capital improvements and others as requiredProactively resolve quality and commercial issues with vendors and internal customersProactively aligns stakeholders for successful project implementationBuild strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersAssist and/or lead special projects as required/assigned

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related-area. (Procurement/Supply Chain preferred)Minimum 7+ years procurement or relevant experienceStrong Leadership SkillsPrevious strategic sourcing experience with technical and engineering categories preferredCPM or CPSM preferredProficiency in negotiations, contract preparation and management, strategic sourcing and e procurement processesProficiency in analytics and computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, JDEStrong written and verbal communication skillsMulti-site, global and manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

Salary Range:   Actual compensation may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and skill level. This range is provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Based on qualifications and experience, the salary range for this position will be up to $125,000.
