PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Procurement Manager will ensure teams have the supplies and services they need timely. This is a high-impact role where expertise in vendor management and cost control will directly support clinical excellence and operational growth in a rapidly expanding healthcare organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage purchasing for medical supplies, equipment, and services. Lead and develop a team of buyers supporting clinical regions, ensuring alignment with established operational objectives. Ensure compliance with company policy, regulatory standards, and GPO agreements. Collaborate with clinic operations, facilities, finance, and compliance teams. Monitor supplier performance, cost savings, and resolve service or delivery issues. Support onboarding of new clinics, expansions, and rebranding efforts. Maintain item catalogs, approved vendor lists, and procurement documentation. Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, gaps, and standardization opportunities. Direct the preparation and placement of purchase orders to vendors, ensuring the best possible terms are negotiated for guaranteed prices from selected vendors. Work on special projects to develop improvement activities across the purchasing department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
May supervise purchasing coordinators, analysts, or buyers. Provide direction, training, and performance feedback to team members. Set priorities and manage workflow across procurement support roles. Ensure team compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in healthcare required. Procurement supervisory experience required. Knowledge of healthcare purchasing practices, GPOs, and clinical products preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., D365, Procure-to-Pay systems, eProcurement) preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills required. Working knowledge of healthcare supplies, equipment, and services preferred. Proficiency with ERP and procurement software (e.g., Microsoft D365, SAP, Oracle) preferred. The ability to interpret contracts, pricing models, and compliance requirements required. Strong organizational and project management abilities required. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Analytical mindset with attention to cost drivers and savings opportunities. Adaptable in a fast-paced, matrixed, and growing healthcare environment. May supervise purchasing coordinators, analysts, or buyers. This job must be U.S. based, preferably based in Miami/Fort Lauderdale area
