Description
The Procurement Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing and executing the company’s procurement strategy across all manufacturing operations. Responsible for managing strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, vendor relationships, and day-to-day purchasing operations, this role ensures the availability of materials, services, and capital equipment required to meet production schedules while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery performance.
This position also leads or collaborates with plant-level buyers, leverages the NetSuite ERP system for procurement execution and reporting, and ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance operational responsiveness with long-term strategic sourcing initiatives.
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
· Develop and lead sourcing strategies for direct materials (e.g., raw materials, Resale), indirect spend (e.g., MRO, consumables, services), and capital expenditures including machinery, equipment, and large-scale projects.
· Conduct competitive bid processes (RFQs, RFPs) and lead supplier selection and onboarding.
· Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, payment terms, and service levels with suppliers.
· Track and report cost savings, pricing trends, and total cost of ownership metrics.
· Analyze material spend across all locations to drive volume leverage and supplier consolidation.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
· Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to improve cost, delivery, and quality.
· Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, quality scorecards, and responsiveness.
· Lead regular supplier business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Manage supplier escalations and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions.
Purchasing Operations & ERP Management
· Oversee daily PO management in NetSuite, including requisitions, order processing, and order tracking.
· Manage procurement processes for capital expenditures, including vendor qualification, bidding, purchase order issuance, and contract compliance.
· Collaborate with plant buyers to ensure accurate requisitions, vendor communication, and receiving coordination.
· Monitor open PO aging, delivery lead times, and inventory impact for key items.

Requirements
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 5–8 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· 2+ years of leadership experience, including managing buyers or cross-functional procurement teams.
· Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
· Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost savings.
· Experience managing capital expenditure procurement including equipment and project-related purchases.
Preferred:
· Experience with NetSuite’s procurement modules (vendors, POs, items, workflows).
· Knowledge of MRO procurement and manufacturing operations.
· Familiarity with Standard Cost inventory practices and basic cost accounting.
· Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, PMP) is a plus.
