Procurement Manager
Job Description

The Procurement Manager provides strategic direction for one or more procurement categories, which may span across multiple organizations and/or geographies. The role may be accountable for activities including category business needs assessment, development of overall category plans, execution of strategic sourcing activities, vendor response analysis, and contract negotiations. The goal is to develop formal agreements with preferred category vendors and establish vendor performance management plans. This position requires interaction with all levels of management and vendors providing or bidding to provide services.

ResponsibilitiesAssess business needs and develop category plans.Execute strategic sourcing activities including development of RFx.Analyze vendor responses and negotiate contracts in line with category plans.Develop formal agreements with preferred category vendors.Establish vendor performance management plans for preferred vendors.Interact with all levels of management and vendors.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree with 2-4 years of procurement-related experience.Excellent judgment, decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.Demonstrated track record of success in leading sourcing, contracting, and negotiation efforts.Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Proficiency in project management and analytical skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsMaster's Degree preferred.5+ years of experience, preferably 5-10 years.Experience with SAP and Ariba.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Construction or industrial experience.Work Environment

The work environment requires interaction with diverse technologies, including SAP and Ariba systems. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality of work, and meeting deadlines. The atmosphere is dynamic, requiring coordination with various stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr.
