Description As 3P Country Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in driving the commercial agenda, relationships, performance, innovation and reliability of our Transportation network in Italy and Germany, working cross-functionally with teams across the entire Amazon business. Our transportation network is complex, but with your drive and dedication we will achieve continuous improvement through our Carrier partners, execution teams, Network design teams, improved demand planning & capacity management, volume allocation, first mile scheduling, middle mile on time performance, and last mile injection. You will be accountable for dealing with challenging commercial issues, negotiations, strategic decisions and be the engagement lead and contract manager for one of our core market places (and core strategic partners). Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities Strategic Leadership • Architect and execute Germany & Italy's transportation strategy, directly impacting millions of customers • Spearhead partnerships with major logistics providers, shaping the future of delivery innovation • Be the trusted advisor to Amazon's senior leadership on critical transportation initiatives • Manage and facilitate Top-to-top strategic meetings Innovation & Growth • Pioneer next-generation delivery solutions, including same-day delivery expansion initiatives such as micro-fulfilment • Lead transformative projects that redefine customer experience standards • Drive technological and operational innovations across our vast logistics network Commercial Excellence • Optimize a multi-billion euro transportation network through our contracts • Drive data-driven decisions through deep analytical assessments of network performance • Design and implement commercial strategies that balance speed, cost, and quality Business Leadership • Lead high-stakes business reviews and strategic planning sessions • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across Amazon's ecosystem • Drive cross-functional initiatives with Fulfillment Centers, Customer Service, and Retail teams Problem Solving & Impact • Tackle complex challenges affecting Amazon's transportation network • Develop innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction • Lead root-cause analysis and implementation of systematic improvements About the team Our team is responsible for the 3P transportation strategy and related implementation at Country & Pan-EU level. This includes 3P procurement with contract negotiations, contract management, service development and 3P CPS management as well as overall 3P country coordination to improve CX and be the STL for all 3P related topics towards Retail and DEX. The team owns the relationship with the 3P carriers’ senior leadership, supports required escalations and is in charge of C-level business meetings Basic Qualifications - Bachelors Degree or equivalent - Experience in either strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract management, negotiating complex purchases - Strong Analytical and integrated reasoning skills Preferred Qualifications - MBA preferred · Supply Chain Management Certifications (e.g. CSCMP) - Experience setting and implementing large scale strategies and negotiating high stakes and high spend (+500MM$ spend) Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
