As a Procurement Lead, you will oversee and optimize all procurement activities related to components and materials required for PCBA and sensor production, with a strong focus on factory supply continuity, cost efficiency, and risk management. You will work closely with production and planning teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and material availability. In addition, you will lead and develop the local purchasing team in Gronau and represent procurement in key operational meetings.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Cultivate positive relationships with local team members and lead competitive exercises from sourcing and RFQ to final negotiations, in alignment with the company's standards Manage complex purchase orders and supervise delivery performance through proactive expediting Identify procurement execution risks and bring them up when vital Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, including key suppliers, to ensure alignment on forecasts, budgets, and material availability Support the transition from New Product Introduction (NPI) to mass production Lead supplier qualification and evaluate procurement performance based on critical metrics Drive supplier performance improvements and implement corrective actions Participate in European procurement and supply chain improvement initiatives Optimize inventory levels to balance service quality and cost control Guarantee all procurement processes align with internal policies and applicable regulations Contribute to “make or buy” decisions and manage quality issues related to procured items Mentor, develop, and support the buyer team in Gronau, including assigning tasks and projects, setting performance targets, leading appraisals, and acting as the first point of escalation for procurement-related challenges Always uphold and promote Emerson’s Ethics PolicyWho You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Engineering Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a production environment Proven ability to work in a multicultural and virtual environment Ideally, 2+ years of experience sourcing electronic components Proficient in English and German, with the ability to negotiate and draft contracts Leadership experience or demonstrated potential in leading teamsPreferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
