We’re looking for an Indirect Material Services (IMS) Procurement Executive for our Andean Cluster responsible to support local Procurement organization to optimize local procurement of products and services by liaising with local departments to understand their current and anticipated demand or needs, implementing local sourcing strategies, optimizing the local supplier base and managing local supplier contracts. Contribute to the definition of category strategy, taking into consideration regional business requirements and supply market trends. Analyze current products/services portfolio and supplier base in order to identify cost savings and synergy opportunities and further consolidate the sourcing strategy. Lead biddings and negotiations to ensure consistent productivity pipeline, supply network efficiency and sustainability.

 

Negotiate optimal terms and conditions, leveraging know-how of the market and global/regional cost base of assigned categories to achieve economies of scale.

Continuously seek innovative solutions and alternative suppliers through web searches, supplier information meetings and participation in the fairs and conferences.

Liaise with peers and/or category managers to determine which products/services can be synergized and ensure local purchasing activities are complying with the PMI Procurement Policy, whether from a processes or systems standpoint.

Identify and implement price and productivity initiatives across assigned categories.

Manage suppliers’ performance though SRM. Implement holistic supplier relationship management through supplier onboarding/qualification, defining key aspects of performance, formulating and controlling principal initiatives aimed at supplier performance improvement corresponding to PMI expectations and strategy.

 

Accountabilities:

 

Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management & Customer Centricity

Liaise with local / cluster internal stakeholders to gain a clear understanding of their needs and project strategies. Actively collaborate in key projects and work with other functions to resolve customer support issues.

Industry, Market and Supplier Strategy

Gather and analyze industry, supply market, as well as internal spend data for the assigned sub-categories to support the Procurement Manager / Supervisor with the definition and formulation of sourcing scenarios/strategies for the assigned categories.

 

Demand Management & Sourcing Plan

Collect and consolidate affiliate spend data and products’ specifications for the assigned categories. Liaise with local / cluster functions to understand their business priorities and plans.  Identify and propose opportunities for synergizing the supply base, and harmonize products / services portfolio to drive economies of scale; subsequently translate the agreed opportunities into sourcing plans.

 

Negotiation & Partnership

Research, identify and evaluate suppliers. Develop, execute and analyze medium to complex negotiations at local / cluster Level.

Commercially manage new & ongoing local key relationships with local small to medium suppliers, vendors or subcontractors at account level to ensure that the affiliate receives satisfactory standards of services and there is contribution sustainability over time.

 

Contractual Framework Promotion

Understand the main legal templates and their characteristics, ensuring agreements are properly set up following Law Department’s guidelines and advice. Check, review and process contracts ensuring that all relevant components are included.

Maintain and update price lists and agreements in order to guarantee accurate documentation for purchasing decisions.

 

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

Strengthen business relationship with the suppliers by performing regular reviews and, in collaboration with the internal stakeholders, monitor periodically critical suppliers' performance on the basis of agreed KPI's (quality, process improvements and commercial relations). Organize regular meetings to agree and follow up on objectives.

 

Procurement Model & Compliance

Have a good understanding of the sourcing process and its interactions with other functional processes. Adhere to Global Procurement Policy and Regional Sourcing Practices & Tools ensuring Compliance at affiliate / cluster level.

Ensure that sourcing plan and initiatives are well tracked and documented in the regional/global system. Optimize assigned KPI targets.

 

Relationships & Collaboration

Collaborate in an effective and efficient manner with the team and/or remote colleagues to ensure activities are carried out in an optimal way.

Monitor the progress of the tasks assigned as per agreed annual plans (if applicable).

Involves integrating environmental, social, and economic considerations into the procurement process. This means selecting suppliers and products that minimize negative impacts on the environment, promote social equity, and support economic development. Key responsibilities include:

Social Responsibility: Ensuring fair labor practices, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting local communities.

Economic Responsibility: Making cost-effective decisions that also consider long-term sustainability and ethical practices.

 

Requirements:

University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics

Minimum 4 years’ experience in sourcing preferably in logistic categories

Advanced English

 

Skills:

Position contributes to defining and formulating cluster / regional sourcing strategies.

Responsible to support middle to complex assigned account(s).

Internal stakeholders are in middle to senior management positions.

Acts more independently with certain degree of supervision under the responsibility area.

Strong experience at tactical level, and able to define specific sourcing plans for the assigned Account. May coach & guide other executives.
