UGL Industrial Resources are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join our team. Based on site at various locations during onsite maintenance events in Southeast and Central Queensland, and in the Brisbane Office or remotely during non-outage periods, this role manages procurement transactions from end to end as well as the logistics around the engagement of subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Generate purchase orders, and expedite vendor data and purchased items
· Achieve ‘best price’ with suppliers that meet all HSE and technical specifications
· Understand current contract arrangements with UGL Subcontractors
· Work with UGL SAP Team to setup new Vendors as required
· Review incoming invoices for correctness and process to enable payment in a timely manner
· Maintain the SAP PO request register
· Manage costs within project trends, including monitoring project equipment and subcontractor costs and providing forecasts
· Manage Subcontractor movements and resource requirements inline with the project schedule
· Promote a culture of safety on project sites, following all safety procedures and regulations
About You:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably on maintenance or construction projects
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficiency in SAP Material Management
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with well-honed negotiation skills
· Ability to work effectively in a team within a challenging environment
