Position Summary The Global Procurement Buyer serves as a **supplier relationship manager** and strategic partner to the business. This role is responsible for building, leading, and maintaining supplier relationships, driving negotiations, and ensuring suppliers deliver on cost, quality, service, and innovation. The Buyer will serve as the face of Energizer to assigned suppliers, proactively identifying new market opportunities, managing supplier performance, and influencing internal stakeholders to align on sourcing strategies. Responsibilities + Serve as the **primary point of contact** for assigned suppliers, building strong partnerships and ensuring alignment with Energizer’s strategic objectives. + Lead supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews, conflict resolution, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. + Identify and develop **new supplier partnerships** through market engagement, supplier discovery, and industry networking. + Drive supplier negotiations, balancing cost, quality, and risk while building long-term strategic partnerships. + Conduct supply market analysis to bring forward insights on trends, risks, and innovation opportunities. + Apply **total cost of ownership principles** and provide internal stakeholders with recommendations that optimize cost, quality, and service. + Act as an internal consultant, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ensuring stakeholders are aligned on sourcing and supplier strategies. + Develop and execute sourcing strategies and category plans for assigned sub-categories. + Own supplier performance management, including supplier scorecards, corrective actions, and strategic improvement initiatives. + Evaluate bids, select suppliers, and make recommendations to deliver cost savings, supply continuity, and innovation. + Track and report on procurement performance metrics, ensuring delivery of cost and performance targets. + Support risk management and compliance activities across assigned suppliers and categories. What we are looking for + Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, or Business Management preferred. + 3+ years of experience in procurement or supplier relationship management (strategic and practical). + Proven track record in **leading supplier negotiations** and managing external partnerships. + Strong business acumen, with an understanding of total cost of ownership, financial metrics, and supplier performance levers. + Ability to influence and facilitate discussions across internal and external stakeholders, often without direct authority. + Skilled in conducting supply market research and bringing forward actionable insights. + Strong analytical thinking and advanced Microsoft Excel/Access skills. + Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a decentralized environment. + Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly language. + Bilingual English/Spanish. + Work hour flexibility to support global teams; some travel required. What we prefer + Experience in strategic procurement, supplier negotiations, and relationship management. + Experience working in SAP and using eProcurement/eSourcing tools. + Strong facilitation and project management skills. + Experience driving supplier innovation, sustainability, and risk management initiatives.
