Procurement and Supply Continuity Specialist - Senior

We are looking for a talented **Procurement and Supply Continuity Specialist - Senior** to join our team specializing in **Supply Chain Planning** for our **CUMMINS** in **Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua** . **Job Summary:** Executes complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans, specifically focused on improving supplier overall performance and capacity ahead of demand. **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + First point Contact for issues related to supply continuity in the Mechanical systems category for suppliers based in Mexico. + Manage escalations raised by any Cummins site when supply continuity issues appear. + Lead Resolution of supply continuity issues class 3, 4 and 5 including the development, update and closing of A3. + Manage VPCRs related to changes due to a supply continuity issue (i,e, capacity increase projects, tooling upgrades, process changes, subsuppliers changes, etc.) + Supports Procurement/Sourcing management in activities such as vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building. + Leads analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts. + Develops effective relationships with vendors and suppliers favorable for company business. + Manages capacity, delivery and issue resolution projects. + Support of engineering releases and other change management processes. **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + High conversational English proficiency. + Proven ability in negotiation and supplier relationship management. + Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. _We are a company dedicated to promoting diversity in the workplace, we provide equal employment opportunities regardless of race, gender, disability, national origin, age, religion or sexual orientation._ **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Competencies:** + Negotiations Excellence + Action Oriented + Balances Stakeholders + Manages Complexity + Manages Conflict + Data Analytics + Manufacturing Knowledge + Procurement Ethics + Procurement Policies, Procedures, Tools + Supplier Capacity Management + Supplier Performance Management + Supply Base Risk Management + Problem Solving + Project Management + Values Differences **Education, Licenses, Certifications:** University degree in supply chain management or a related subject required. **Experience:** Intermediate level of related work experience required f related work experience required **QUALIFICATIONS** • Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineer or Bachelor of Administration, International Relations or similar. • Experience in direct material purchases with national and foreign suppliers, dealing with suppliers and personnel in the supplychain area (Purchasing and continuity of supply • Experience handling purchase escalations. • Experience in capacity analysis and supply to different plants in Mexico and Globally. • Data analysis, data-driven decision making (able to analyze capacities, demand and make decisions); Market Trends. • Experience in Oracle tools (SAP) purchasing modules, Excel, power BI • Demonstrated ability in negotiation and management of relationships with suppliers. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. • English: Alto (C2) **Job** Purchasing **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** Hybrid **Job Type** Exempt - Experienced **ReqID** 2411970 **Relocation Package** No
