Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesOverall responsibilities and duties:
The Process Tooling Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tooling processes. Create and develop tooling solutions, including Molds, jigs, and fixtures, using CAD software.to ensure efficient and high-quality production in the automotive industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals, improve manufacturing processes, and support the launch of new products.
The main missions of the role are to:
• Gather input data from the product design team.
• Manage process definition and ensure release of tools definition in appropriate Product Data Management (PDM) System.
• Prepare and maintain the integrity of tool documentation for final tool acceptance.
• Propose and implement product and process improvements to fulfil geometric requirements.
• Act as the technical correspondent for the tool supplier (tooling offers and technical design analysis).
• Make tools available for plants so that product and process characteristics are under control.
• Manage and control tooling plan with supplier to ensure that they can delivery tools as per program timeframe.
• Apply Group standards under the Faurecia Excellence System (FES), as well as other internal and industry standards.
• Take the leadership to uphold the commitment to CoE, CoM and other internal compliance policy in the responsible team and relevant business partners to ensure that it is distributed to all employees and that each employee adheres to it.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tooling engineering within the automotive industry
• Experience in Tool Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry
• Experience in Design & Development within an industrial environment, ideally in the automotive industry
Skills and Compentencies:
▪ Proficiency in CAD software (2D and 3D modeling).
▪ Strong knowledge of injection molding, and other tooling processes.Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop effective solutions
▪ Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
▪ Good - Fluent in English is required.
▪ Chinese is a plus.
▪ Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
▪ Drive, Accountability, Teamwork, Agility, Respect and Open-Mindedness.
▪ International mind set.
▪ Computer literate and good knowledge of IT systems
▪ Good in Microsoft Office 360 (Word, Power point, Excel, etc.)
