Reporting to Afternoon shift Supervisor, as the Process Technician - Grit Blast, you will be responsible for maintaining the schedule for grit blast on all programs.

Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada

Shift Hours – Afternoon – Monday - Thursday (3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.)

What You Will Do

Grit blasting of aircraft components in preparation for plating/painting.Part fixturing, loading and unloading.Act as a cross functional team member and support/perform masking for plating and other processing applications as requested.Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts.Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.Multi-task and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require:

Typically High school diploma, with a one years of manufacturing experience.

The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.

Qualifications We Prefer

Grit blast certification.

Prior grit blast machining experience would be considered an asset.

Demonstrated ability to lift 40 lbs.

Strong understanding of WHMIS.

Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee.

Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.

Willingness to train and operate other machines in the cell and willingness to work overtime.
