Your ‘day to day’:
As a Process Technician, you will play a critical role in monitoring, maintaining, and improving industrial processes to ensure efficient production while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Ensure continuous and efficient operation of the assigned production line or machine according to IOS/Open+ guidelines to deliver business results aligned with company strategy.Perform technical and maintenance interventions (process settings, adjustments, planned maintenance) on the assigned equipment and execute IOS/Open+ systems to achieve and improve targeted KPIs.Use and comply with all standard OPEN+ systems and tools (BOS, QFlag, CL, CIL, IPS, UPS, WPA, PDM, etc.) according to the requirements of Equipment Line Pillars step and Site Phase.Contribute to continuous improvement and loss elimination programs for the assigned equipment.Act as an OPEN+ champion within an autonomous/self-sufficient team to support capabilities development and use these capabilities for loss elimination.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to environment, health, safety, and sustainability to prevent personnel, asset, or societal loss.Act and promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approaches in line with Open+/IOS.Ensure compliance with all PMI and legal standards and guidelines related to the quality of incoming materials, SFGs, and FGs in line with the QMS.Proactively operate with the quality department for the implementation and execution of quality programs to prevent quality incidents, reduce and eliminate non-conformities in the process and product integrity.Ensure that relevant quality documentation is properly completed.Execute autonomously advanced problem-solving activities.Collaborate with team members to deliver the highest internal and external consumer satisfaction through Open+/IOS tools.
Production Management:
Operate equipment complying with production plans to deliver high consumer service levels.Participate in Production lines DDS to support timely triggers definition and KPIs improvement through effective corrective actions.Promote standardization, reapplication, and knowledge-sharing of best practices and standards, and propose new solutions to eliminate production losses.Operate and monitor the production equipment, adjust and fix mechanical failures to achieve and improve targeted KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, cost). Restore and continuously improve the basic condition of the machine by effectively using Pillars DMS's.Operate production equipment to deliver productivity targets by eliminating losses in processes related to uptime, DIM waste, R&M, utilities, and environment.Participate in continuous improvement of the quality and productivity standards of assigned equipment through a zero-loss mindset approach to seek and implement kaizen activities applying problem-solving and OPEN+ methodology and tools.Own assigned equipment according to the defined loss elimination strategy, participating and contributing to LGA activities.Benchmark with other cells/equipment to define potential reapplication opportunities by participating in community meetings.
Team Development:
Proactively act as a member of an autonomous/self-sufficient team to drive cultural transformation as per Open+/IOS journey.Provide all relevant information for the smooth running of production within/between teams, as well as to the support group and project managers to ensure optimal monitoring of problems encountered and share experiences and knowledge to continually increase competencies and expertise.Complete necessary forms and make timely data entry into information systems to ensure product traceability and equipment intervention.Implement and propose improvements of standard work processes defined in Pillars (AM steps, quality factors, problem-solving SWP, etc.).Ensure self and team capabilities based on step-up cards according to the qualification matrix.Actively use respective digital systems/tools to eliminate respective losses by acting in the roles detailed in the \"Description of Levels\" section.
Who we’re looking for:
Technical School (Secondary Technical School or Technical University) or qualification through basic technical trainingExperience in IWS/Open+/TPM/Lean Manufacturing environment is an advantage.Experience in IWS/Open+ DMS and tools is an advantage.Basic fluency in English, written and spoken.Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.Ability to occasionally work overtime.Ability to wear Personal Protection Equipment and Production Uniform (e.g. safety glasses, bump cap or hard hat, safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, hair nets and gloves).Physical ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds, stand for 12 hours, and perform repetitive tasks.The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, and talk. See and hear visual/audio indicators.Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Required)
Hourly Rate: Starts at $27/ hour
