Pay Rate: $25.60/hr. with $1.00/hour Shift Differential
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3p-11p, with some OT

Job Summary:
The process technician will set up, operate, and adjust automatic machinery to produce Wood Reels according to customer specifications. The process technician will also be responsible for meeting all safety requirements and good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required by Sonoco.
Responsibilities:
· Operating large, high-speed equipment
· Make offsets and color matches using various computer systems.
· Perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
· Work safely in compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines including GMP.
· Troubleshooting and problem-solving issues on presses and other production equipment.
· Participates in continuous improvement efforts by offering suggestions through team meetings or individually.
· Monitor waste levels and downtime to minimize both.
· Maintain a safe, clean work area.
Qualifications:
· Associate's degree in Process Technology or equivalent
· Ability to read, write, and speak English.
· Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Forklift certification required.
· Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
· Basic math skills required.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
