We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HSE Specialist with process engineering experience to join our Health, Safety, and Environment team at Sanofi. Reporting directly to the Site Head of EHS, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive HSE and security programs across our pharmaceutical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety, security, and environmental responsibility.

Main responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain site HSE management systems in compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirementsConduct regular HSE risk assessments and safety audits across pharmaceutical manufacturing operationsLead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actionsChair and document HAZOP and HAZID assessments for pharmaceutical processes and equipmentProvide HSE expertise for change management processes, including review and approval of modifications from an EHS perspectiveMonitor and evaluate environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control, and sustainability initiativesDevelop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levelsPrepare and maintain required HSE documentation and regulatory reportsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into new product introductions and manufacturing campaignsSupport emergency response planning and preparedness activitiesPromote a positive safety culture through engagement with employees and managementMonitor HSE performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in the development and implementation of site security protocols and proceduresConduct security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in physical and operational securityEnsure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards for pharmaceutical facilitiesCoordinate security awareness training for employees and contractorsMonitor and report on security performance metrics and compliance indicatorsAbout you Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, or related scientific disciplineExperience:3+ years of HSE experience within the pharmaceutical or related regulated industryExperience with Process safety across pharmaceutical manufacturing processesKnowledge of relevant HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA/HSE regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)Experience with security management systems and physical security controls is advantageousSkills and Competencies:Strong understanding of pharmaceutical HSE hazards and control measuresKnowledge of chemical safety, biological safety, and pharmaceutical containment principlesFamiliarity with security risk assessment methodologies and mitigation strategiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with all levels of the organizationStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to influence and drive cultural change around safety and securityProficiency in HSE management systems and Microsoft Office suiteAdditional Information:
