Job Description

We are looking for a Process Project Engineer II to join our Manufacturing Engineering team at Remington Ammunition. The Process Project Engineer will plan, manage, and coordinate projects and processes using the latest technologies to develop new processes, improve production efficiencies and resolve manufacturing challenges.

The Process Project Engineer II reports to the Manufacturing Engineer Manager and is based out of Lonoke, Arkansas facility.

As the Process Project Engineer II, you will have the opportunity to:

Initiate and lead engineering projects including cost improvements and capital projectsWrite technical reports and present them to management and other interested partiesAnalyze operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of employees, tooling, supplies, and equipmentResearch root cause of product variation, develop and execute projects to reduce product variation.Initiate process changes and improvements, maintain process records and drawingsAnalyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness of various machines, develop and execute projects to improve OEERecommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing wasteWork effectively and collaboratively with a cross-discipline teamEffectively communicate with manufacturing personnel and managementRegularly interact with and provide technical guidance to manufacturing and shop personnelAssist in training production personnel in work instruction and proceduresAssist in troubleshooting machinery malfunctionUnderstand product specifications and interpret ballistics performance dataUnderstand how manufacturing processes affect the performance characteristics of the product

You have:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering/Science disciplineAt least five years of experienceStrong mechanical aptitudeExcellent organizational, communication, project management and teamwork skillsExceptional problem-solving abilityFamiliarity with manufacturing operations and lean principlesHands-on experience with machining and manufacturing equipmentExperience with SolidWorks or CAD

You might also have:

Knowledge and experience with ammunition, handloading, hunting, shooting, and firearmsMetallurgical knowledge of copper alloys and tool steels/carbidesPrevious experience in metal forming and/or high volume manufacturingExperience in tool and fixture design.

Work Environment:

Employee work assignments may include tasks working with and/or exposure to potentially hazardous areas, including flammables and explosives. Safety training is provided to all employees to ensure compliance with company and federal regulations.

Pay Range:

$73,100.00 - $102,200.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
