We're searching for a Process Operator with aspirations to become Duly Authorised under Springfields' License Conditions, with a long-term view towards developing into a Plant Controller / Supervisor.
About the role:As a Process Operator you will operate manual and automatic plant equipment to ensure production to plant programs and oversee and work with chemical processes.
You will report to the Operations Team Leader and be located at Springfields Fuels site.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake Duly Authorised Person (DAP) Training.
Ensure safe working practices are followed and any unsafe behaviors displayed within the team are challenged.
Oversee and work with chemical processes to ensure delivery of key product following required specifications.
Work safely in a high hazard / COMAH environment.
Collaborate professionally with customers and technical safety advisors as required.
Completion of process logs and checks following training.
Provision of specified services to internal/external customers, to agreed standards.
Active involvement in improvement projects / initiatives, working with Engineers.
To contribute to the improvement of a safe environment / general housekeeping of the working area, particularly in their own area of responsibility.
Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and procedures e.g. safety, quality, risk, security etc. applicable to the role, as instructed.
Requirement to wear full PPE, including full-face respiratory protection.
Qualifications:
You will undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check
You will become monitored workers under the Ionising Radiations Regulations.
3 GCSE's (grade C or above) or equivalent in Maths and English or 2 GCSE's as above with work related experience.
Chemical Plant operational experience
Forklift truck licence desirable.
