Responsibilities 1st Shift - 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM - Monday through Friday Starting Pay $22.19/hr Pay Grade: HR130 + 8% Premium pay # Openings: 1 Now hiring for a Process Leader in Shipping at our Cranberry Township, PA manufacturing plant. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist Warehouse Supervisor with managing Shipping Area. Responsibilities: Coordinating associate activities within the department / shift to ensure smooth and consistent operations. Assistance with maintaining accountability and fostering a cohesive team environment. Work with Warehouse Supervisor to determine priorities. Monitor department work activities, check status of customer orders in relation to target, co-ordinate work flow and take action necessary to ensure the effective utilization of available resources. Establish effective lines of communications between staff and management or other internal departments and co-ordinates work activities within department to ensure highest possible productivity. Respond to internal and external customer requests. Assists associates with problem solving, inquiries, and handles escalated customer issues. Assist the department with various work tasks when needed, including routine maintenance and repair of department equipment. Assist with international and hazardous material shipments. Assist with monitoring performance. Monitor compliance to all company policies, procedures, standards and goals. Appropriately train and coach associates as needed. Make decisions during supervisor’s absence. Maintain and order non-production departmental supplies. Provide direction to other department Process Leaders regarding Warehouse functions. Assisting operators with preparation for same day domestic, international, and hazardous material shipments via expedited carrier services as needed. Ensuring performance plans are set, maintained and continuously improved. Generating process improvement solutions. Manage a safe workplace by advocating incident prevention and preparedness (e.g. near-hits, ergonomics). Conduct department safety training. Coordinate and/or conduct temporary, new hire or transferred associate training (orientation, etc.) Perform on the job training for associates to meet customer expectations and to adhere to ISO and Standard Operating Procedures specifications. Complete documentation revisions to ISO / department procedures. Trouble shoots SAP delivery problems, missed deliveries, stock adjustments, looks for missing material. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment. Work with Manufacturing engineer, buyer/planners and Quality engineer to correct issues that arise. Qualifications Requirements: 3-5 years previous shipping experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), SAP, UPS, FedEx and DHL. High School Diploma or equivalent. Travel - 10% Ability to: Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate work and organize daily activities. Walk, stand, sit, kneel, stoop, lift 50 lbs. and push/pull 35 lbs. Have good hearing and sight to ensure awareness and safety within busy warehouse surroundings. Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards established in the work area. Obtain HazMat Certification. Preferred: DOT expertise.
