Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our Sort Center Quality Assurance (SCQA) team in EU. This role will be responsible for driving quality improvements focused on preventing, reducing, and investigating defects during the production process that may result in customer experience (CX) incidents.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead a team seeking to lead proactive quality assurance efforts at assigned sort centers, focusing on concessions, damages, and return rate metrics
- Reduce defect identification to resolution lead time through data analysis, hypothesis testing, and collaboration with site operations
- Set the strategy for the team that conducts daily trend analysis of CX lead indicators and perform floor audits/observations to prevent quality issues
- Partner with upstream/downstream stakeholders to address quality concerns beyond sort center control
- Develop and implement standardized deep dive processes and templates for quality metrics
- Track and validate effectiveness of implemented quality improvement actions
- Provide detailed quality analytics and recommendations obtained from the team quality assurance work to reduce defects
- Connect with site operations to define priorities, defect reduction and focus work streams for the team to execute
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Quality Management or related field
- Experience with people management and building teams
- Experience in quality management or logistics operations roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making experience
- Experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification
- Experience with quality management systems and tools
- Prior experience in logistics/transportation operations
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with AI tools
