**Work Schedule** Standard (Mon-Fri) **Environmental Conditions** Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) **Job Description** Lead process engineering at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Ciudad Apodaca Manufacturing facility, crafting top-notch production processes. **Profile:** To excel in this role, you should possess: + A degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. + A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Blow Molding Engineer or in a similar role. + Proficiency in using machine controls for input settings and high-level troubleshooting. + Technical expertise in injection molding of thermoplastics, including design for manufacturability, robotics, automation, and hot runner systems. + Familiarity with statistical problem-solving techniques. + Knowledge of the English language and resin materials (PPE, etc.). + Demonstrated leadership and communication abilities, adept at guiding teams and nurturing a forward-thinking environment. **Responsibilities:** In this critical role, you will: + Provide molding expertise in plastic components, ensuring design for manufacturability and outstanding tooling. + Ensure blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment meet quality standards and production goals. + Set up, start up, and establish process parameters for molding machines. + Monitor, troubleshoot, and document processing issues and changes. + Lead machine process efficiency initiatives, minimize scrap, and conserve materials. + Start and shut down machines, and troubleshoot blow mold machine issues. + Reduce material scrap to protect the environment and save costs. + Identify and request mold repairs, mentor the mold setting team, and guide Process Techs as needed. + Lead new product launches and bottle qualifications. + Make critical adjustments to heats, air pressure, and other parameters to meet customer requirements. + Advise on machine adjustments, maintenance, and processing improvements.
