Job Description
The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the work of the processing function, focusing on improving cycle efficiency while balancing cost savings and efficiency drivers to maximize profitability and meet customer expectations. This role is also accountable for leading a team of process engineers and/or process technicians.
ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the processing function to improve cycle efficiency and maximize profitability.Lead a team of process engineers and/or process technicians.Implement process improvements in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and continuous improvement.Utilize expertise in injection molding, including starting up robots and working with plastics.Focus on cycle time and efficiency improvements.Process HDPE and PP resins efficiently.Develop a technical understanding of mechanical systems, tooling, and plastic manufacturing processes.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years of injection molding process experience.Minimum of 5 years of robot startup experience.Experience with cycle time/efficiency improvements.Technical aptitude in manufacturing processes and plastic injection.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in A3 problem solving as a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with robots and automation work cells.Ability to set up and optimize mold processes for 1000T-4000T IMM.Formal RJG injection molding experience.Experience with Krauss and Sepro 6 axis robots.Ability to work well with different production groups and build strong relationships.Work Environment
This position is based in a large-scale, high-output manufacturing plant spanning over 300,000 square feet, designed for high-volume plastic production using injection molding technology. The facility supports industries like waste management, beverage, agriculture, and supply chain logistics with over 12 injection molding machines producing large and complex plastic components. The environment includes advanced robotics integration, such as single and dual-system robots for part handling and automation, and 3-axis and 6-axis robots for precision tasks, material movement, and quality control. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buckeye, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
