Job Description
The Process Quality Engineer will manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) by overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes. This role offers a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate to learn and grow into the position, with the chance to shadow and learn from the Quality Manager who will be retiring by the end of the year.
ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the company's Quality Management System (QMS).Conduct quality assurance and quality control processes.Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure quality materials.Manage supplier quality and address defects in parts.Implement and follow the Product Quality Plan.Perform root cause analysis and documentation management.Work with non-conforming materials and prepare CAPA and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering.Knowledge of quality documentation such as CAPA and FAI.Proven experience in manufacturing and securing vendor contracts.Excellent statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and engineering technical aspects.Good working knowledge of quality control standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsASQC certification or related process improvement experience.Experience with manufacturing and production processes.Strong communication skills for vendor/supplier collaboration.Work Environment
The company has approximately 100 employees, with 8 members on the engineering team across various disciplines including quality, manufacturing, software, mechanical, and electrical engineering. This offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment for professional growth.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.26/hr.
