Chemours is seeking a **Process Engineer** to join our growing **Minerals** team. This position will be available at our mining and processing operations located near Starke and Maxville, Florida and report directly to the Florida Process Engineering Manager.
The Florida Process Engineer will provide process and technical support to our mining and separation operations to ensure safety, reliability, and productivity of the facilities.
**The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:**
+ Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and health rules and all company policies and procedures.
+ Learn and understand the separation processes and implement process improvements.
+ Create daily reports that track feed grade, throughput capacity, product output, and recovery by utilizing Aspen Process Explorer and/or SeeQ software.
+ Conduct daily visual inspection of the process at key points, both hands-on and with support from operational personnel.
+ Aid in engineering, troubleshooting, and incident investigation, including documentation and tracking of systemic issues.
+ Participate in both the new Process Hazards Analyses and the scheduled cyclical review of previous Process Hazard Analyses for the assigned facility _._
+ Assist the Process Manager to ensure that the area process documentation is accurate and up to date. This would include updates on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process Flow Diagrams, and Management-Of-Change processes.
**The following is** **_required_** **for this role:**
+ BS in Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mineral Processing.
+ 1+ years of experience in a technical role.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written communications.
+ Interest in working in a hands-on environment with various levels of employees in the company.
+ Proficient in the use of computers.
**The following is** **_preferred_** **for this role:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
+ Experience working in an industrial production environment.
+ Experience in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
