Process Engineer
Job Description This Process Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that machined components (typically with flat surfaces and holes, like engine blocks, brackets, and transmission housings) are produced to spec, on time, and within budget. Process Development & Validation  Conduct capability studies (Cp, Cpk) and Gage R&R.  Collaborate with Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers to ensure process readiness.  Participate in Product Development Team (PDT) and Launch Readiness Reviews (LRRs).  Track and resolve open issues using tools like AIMS (Automotive Issue Management System).  Quality Assurance  Analyze dimensional data and root cause deviations.  Work with quality teams to implement corrective actions.  Cross-Functional Collaboration  Interface with design, purchasing, quality, and logistics teams.  Attend daily stand-ups or launch war rooms. Documentation & Reporting  Maintain PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.  Report out to leadership on launch status and risks.
