Process Engineer
The Process Engineer supports manufacturing through industrialization activities and operational audits, training, and documentation. The role will ensure the site produces products that meet standards while supporting sustainability initiatives at the site. Projects frequently involve interaction with other disciplines and occasionally with customers. + Ensures products meet company and industry standards by defining, monitoring, and approving processes to achieve production and quality standards. + Work to improve manufacturing processes by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and quality. + Works with production to create and optimize material usage with a focus on cost. + Creating detailed engineering specifications, reports, and user manuals. + Participates in digital automation and manufacturing 4.0 initiatives with production team members, other support departments, and external resources. + Participate in projects that are typically significant assignments with the annual plant objectives and may involve new products or processes and/or expansion of capabilities. Considerable ingenuity and ability to work independently would be expected. + May be responsible for various capital project activities from the bidding process, completing the appropriation, supervising the installation, and start up, to the completion of capital and non-capital projects in any technical area of the plant. This incumbent must have good interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to guide and counsel employees. -Must have the ability to work under frequent pressure and have effective decision-making skills. The incumbent must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, flexible, enthusiastic and able to meet deadlines.- The incumbent must be able to work in both team and individual settings. + Education:- Bachelors (Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering) Required + Experience:- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with statistical methods (six sigma) understanding.- Required At Saint-Gobain, we design, manufacture, and distribute materials which are key ingredients in the wellbeing of each of us and the future of all.
