Make It Uniquely Yours.** You play an important role in the department, maintaining systems and performing tasks and activities that support our continuous improvement (CI) processes and culture. You help with data collection, ensure its accuracy, promote CI progress and keep track of the department KPI scorecards. **How you will contribute** You will: + Provide training on CI tools and techniques. You will also help departments follow our established daily management system (DMS) + Help teams collect data or extract it from the system to support CI activities and the DMS + Facilitate root-cause analysis to address identified losses and departmental KPI scorecard gaps + Establish new work standards to sustain improvement + Train and qualify colleagues on CI tools and new work standards resulting from CI activities **What you will bring** A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: + CI and high-performance work systems experience + Strong facilitation and communication skills to support team discussions on CI activities + Application of lean and/or TPM tools in a factory or operations environment + Ability to manipulate and validate data in manual and automated systems + Mastery of Excel and other data analytics tools + Organized and disciplined to support and educate on the DMS process + Logical and structured thinking to extract insights from data **More about this role** **Role Summary (please note: due to product demand, may be required to support other function)** + Operates equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Formula Process Instructions. + Responsible for the safe operation of equipment/work centre and for achieving standards output requirements. + Supports the Halls processing operations on a daily basis. + Actively monitors all sections of the cooking function including temperature, pressure, additive controls to ensure the process is functioning properly. + Reports any abnormalities to the Processor A and makes adjustments on own initiative or on direction from Processor A. + Prepares raw materials for addition to process at appropriate times. Handles salvage inventories and preparation. **What you need to know about this position:** **J** **ob Duties and Responsibilities:** + Observe all safety rules, practices and procedures in the performance of all duties. + Relieves Processor A’s through lunch and breaks. + Performs all Processor A duties during this time to ensure products are being produced within specified tolerances. + Uses initiative and experience to maintain optimum efficiency of operation and quality of product. + Work in a well-organized and systematic manner to minimize the possibility of error and maximize productivity, ensuring production targets are met (Safety/Quality/Cost/Delivery/Sustainability/Morale). + Participates in startups, shutdowns and changeovers to ensure they take place efficiently and effectively. + Prepares solutions/premixes for manufacturing process. + Ensure product has been produced according to formula instructions. + Responsible for inventory management of ingredients for the work centre. + Maintains and monitors manual and automatic controls, fill rates, additives, controls. + Operates equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Formula and Process Instructions and Working Instructions. + Records pertinent information on all documentation and/or in the Quality Suites system, in accordance with good documentation practices. + Complete 2nd Verification checks (where applicable). + Engage in IL6S activities including Daily Management Systems, pillar membership, work process ownership and AM activities. + Acts as a Backup Processor A, when required. + Ensure workstation organization and cleanliness is maintained. + Operates the following equipment to produce within specified tolerances: cookers, weigh scales, mixers, pumps, temperature gauges, tank farm. + Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. **Education / Certifications:** + Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering required **Job specific requirements:** + **+3 years of demonstrated leadership experience** in a high - performance manufacturing, warehousing, and/or distribution work environment in food, pharmaceutical and/or automotive industry. + SAP experience and proficiency in MS Excel + LEAN Six Sigma certification an asset. **Travel requirements:** NA **Work schedule:** + Mainly day shifts but must be flexible to attend midnight and afternoon shifts as needed.
