YOUR ROLE
As Process Engineer on our team, you will: The position requires a technical expert who can lead and provide the necessary support to the team of technicians working in the area of high- and low-voltage harnesses. This person must have technical knowledge in ultrasonic presses, cable processes, plastic injection molding, and welding applications. Experience in problem-solving techniques and statistics is required. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 E is desirable.
The engineer will be responsible for identifying and requesting the purchase of equipment and tools that meet specific processing and volume requirements, coordinating industrialization plans for multiple projects, and providing expert technical contact on-site for assigned processes. Manage technical personnel and ensure compliance with the various health and safety standards for the equipment delivered.
In your daily job you will:
Ensure the installation and release of equipment and tools for HV harness manufacturing systems / cord set lines in accordance with customer requirements and specifications, as well as Aptiv standards.
Troubleshoot equipment design issues.
Review, quote, and implement engineering changes to cord set equipment and high-voltage processes.
Maintain CAPEX control in quoting and implementing new business and engineering changes.
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
Minimum engineering degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronics, or similar.
Proven experience in manufacturing processes for high and low voltage harnesses and technology for harness construction and automotive component assemblies (minimum 4 years)
Intermediate/high level of spoken and written English.
Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies.
Capacity studies and equipment release.
Office management.
Knowledge of PLCs, controls, sonic equipment, plastic injection and board welding, torques, and vision systems.
