Job Description
The Senior Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving engineering activities to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, define quality controls, and implement strategies for reducing process variation. This position is critical in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing operations.
ResponsibilitiesPartner with Operations to implement and monitor consistent data reporting systems.Spend time on the production floor assessing equipment performance.Utilize software for machinery performance analysis; proficiency with Ignition or similar software is acceptable.Review and assess tooling for machinery, particularly in wax injection machinery in the casting process.Support the transition of machinery to align with newer analytics software databases.Determine the need for and draft proposals for capital funding for expansion and improvement.Provide training, draft work instructions, and ensure the implementation of new processes.Evaluate complex engineering problems and lead cross-functional solutions.Serve as a technical liaison for new product launches with customers.Perform process validations and develop related protocols.Review technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications to support manufacturability.Create and update engineering documentation including routings, BOMs, and customer requirements.Essential SkillsProficiency in process control and continuous improvement.SolidWorks usage to design fixtures.Experience in process engineering and process improvement.Ability to evaluate machinery performance to maintain manufacturing efficiency and implement improvements.Strong data collection and analysis skills using software to pull raw data from machines.Ability to partner directly with operations to ensure optimal machinery functioning.Expertise in casting, forging, fabrication or other metal forming processes.Experience in lean manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree required.5-10 years of engineering experience (3-5 may be considered).Proven track record with statistics and data collection and analysis.Experience with casting processes, wax or other injection molding, or other industrial processes involving metal forming.Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and process control.Exposure to integrated business planning (Sales & Operations Planning process), quality system deployment, and lean manufacturing in an industrial setting is preferred.ISO experience preferred.Work Environment
The work environment involves spending considerable time on the production floor, utilizing advanced analytics software to assess machinery performance. The role requires engagement with cross-functional teams and operations to ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency. Dress code is business casual, and the position may require occasional travel to liaise with customers during new product launches.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
