Location: On-site – Congleton Manufacturing, Manchester
Siemens World Class manufacturing facility in Congleton, Cheshire have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and reliable Manufacturing Process Engineer. The successful candidate will be part of a close working Engineering team, responsible for some of the latest technology PCB manufacturing machines & processes. In this role you will have a good variety of tasks/responsibilities, where every day brings a different challenge. You will report to a Focus Factory Engineering Lead, but there will be a significant level of self-management, allowing you the freedom and autonomy to explore new innovative methods and equipment.
This role will be site based in the Congleton manufacturing site, where we have all manufacturing support departments on one site. We have strong ties to our sister plants in Germany and China, where we often share best practice experience with our Engineering colleagues. The Congleton factory has a reputation for our positive team culture and Can-Do attitude, where we actively encourage a growth mindset and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will receive full training and support for this role and have ongoing opportunities for further training to help with career development.

You’ll make a difference by: Process Engineering role, predominately supporting the PCB Coating protection machines and Product Identification process. Maintain regular contact with suppliers, overseas colleagues, and industry sources to ensure we retain latest technology equipment / processes and consumables. Continuous process/equipment improvement, focusing on productivity & quality. Problem solving using various tools and techniques. Part of a busy Engineering team, taking ownership, delivering solutions, and helping ensure we meet business targets. Taking responsibility for the introduction of new manufacturing equipment from investigation to installation and ongoing support. Work in cross-functional teams to complete projects; investigate & deliver new technology solutions. Support the business Lean productivity initiatives, constantly looking to improve our Productivity / Equipment performance / Product quality Etc. Safety & Sustainability will be your number one priority, ensuring that our processes & equipment are safe for our people and the environment. You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including: Batchelors Degree - Engineering related is preferred Keen to learn and grow as an individual A passion for innovation… Interest in: Automation, Digitalisation, Robotics.
