Process Engineer
**Overview** This position will be responsible for project development and implementation. Qualified candidate must be a self-starter with proven project management skills. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Overseeing outside contractors in the completion of environmental, facility, and process improvement projects, in addition to managing projects from conception through completion. Successful candidates will possess the ability to work with individuals from varied backgrounds, skills, and education levels to complete projects in an efficient and organized manner. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for preparation of project cost quotes and managing projects within budget requirements. + Ability to create timelines and manage projects according to set constraints. + Execute various system and equipment upgrade projects from conceptualization to start up. + Make oral and develop written presentations to provide information to Management. + Develop project scope, project justifications, and project requirements. + Complete all required paperwork to establish funding for capital projects. + Create capital budgets for future projects. + Create Scope of Work documents. + Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and company goals. **Qualifications** Education, Experience, Certifications + Four-year Engineering degree required. + Three years manufacturing experience in an engineering or project management role, preferably in a Metal Processing Industry. + Experience with Toyota Production Systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma Certification a plus. + Furnace experience a plus. + Environmental Controls experience a plus. + Allen Bradley controls experience a plus. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities + Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. + High aptitude for manufacturing facility maintenance and engineering. + Strong decision making skills, ability to look at current and future needs of business as directly related to capital spending. + Demonstrated proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical operations + Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to dynamic situations. + Demonstrated ability in logical and efficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills. + Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Word) and AutoCAD. + Experience with Maintenance Software MP2 a plus. Language Skills + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. + Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematrical Skills + Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. + Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. + Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. + Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. + Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete + variables. + Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. + Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. + Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Physical Requirements & Environment + While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, dust, airborne particles, and extreme heat and humidity. + While much work will be performed in an office setting, significant time will be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely. + Noise levels in the manufacturing facility are usually high. + All employees are required to wear full face respirators inside the manufacturing facility. + Qualified candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb with minimal effort. + Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
