Process Documentation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Documentation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing, listening, and technical documentation, with a preference for candidates who have experience in training or technical writing. This role is critical in ensuring that our processes are clearly documented, standardized, and accessible to all stakeholders. This role spends its time divided between supporting two teams. It reports to the Training Development team where 50% of the time is spent assisting with new hire training development and documentational support for online tool updates. The remaining 50% is spent supporting a client team that is responsible for online tool development and enhancements. Therefore, this role will exist in both circles of influence. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and understand business processes, workflows, and procedures. + Analyze requirements of a project to determine scope of work and required documentation products. + Conduct interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) to capture detailed process information and develop technically accurate documentation products for system end-users. + Develop, write, and edit comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), user manuals, training materials, and process maps. + Translate complex technical or operational concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. + Proof documentation to detect and correct errors in spelling, grammar, and syntax, and to ensure adherence to established styles, branding, and standards. + Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current practices. + Work closely with training teams to create materials that support employee onboarding and ongoing learning initiatives. + Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend changes to enhance efficiency and clarity. + Maintain a centralized repository for all process documentation and ensure version control. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience. + 2+ years of working with technical documentation with experience in creating end-user documentation **Other Job Specific Skills** + Proven experience in process documentation, technical writing, or a similar role. + Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail. + Excellent listening and interpersonal skills to effectively gather and interpret information from diverse stakeholders. + Familiarity with process mapping tools and documentation software + Experience in training development or instructional design is highly preferred. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Capable of learning various computer applications and systems related to the documentation materials. + Ability to meet deadlines and communicate progress against a schedule. + Experience in creating training materials or conducting training sessions. + Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. + Basic understanding of technical systems or software development processes. + Experience in the telecommunication industry. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
