Process Coach MP&L

Position Duties:

1.Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work 2.Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives 3.Monitor ANDON occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support 4.Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts 5.Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level 6.Communication and Recognition 7.Build Team Leader and Team Member capability 8.Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks 9.Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents 10.MP&L specific 11.Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility and for the department including but not limited to: 12.Ensuring proper material flow from receiving dock, to warehouse storage location, to the production line feed location and   to the delivery of finished product to the customers 13.Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources appropriately in order to cover material handling responsibilities 14.Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow lean manufacturing practices 15.Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel

-This position's operating pattern supports production schedules which could include rotating shifts and weekends

-Position reports to MP&L Senior Process Coach (VO) or Material Handling Mgr. (PTO)

Position Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Mgmt. preferred.

-Body shop /stamping / subassembly, or manufacturing assembly and machining experience a plus

-Ability to work independently with limited supervision

-Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput

-Ability to multi-task

-Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills

-Demonstrate leadership in ONE FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

-Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

-Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
