You’ll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park, Michigan, will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development. This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026. **What You'll Do…** 1. Team Leadership & Development: • Build Team Leader and Team Member capability. • Lead and manage hourly personal development. • Communication and recognition. • Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks. 2. Operational Excellence & Daily Management: • Coach Safety, Quality, and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work. • Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility and the department. • Ensure proper material flow from the marketplace to the production line feed location. • Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities. • Monitor Andon occurrences. Be the first responder as secondary support. • Through Process Confirmation, verify that the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts. 3. Continuous Improvement & FPS Support: • Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level. • Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices. 4. Supervisory & Administrative Tasks: • Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents. **You'll have…** • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Industrial Engineering/Engineering/Logistics or a related field, or equivalent experience • 3+ years of working experience in a logistics planning position in a manufacturing plant. • More than three years of lean logistics improvement project experience. • At least 2 years of experience in system audits (e.g., process, safety). • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, constraint management principles, logistics planning, and management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook). • Familiar with ERP system background logic (SAP, MES, LES, etc.) structure. **Even Better, You'll Have…** • Experience in Automotive MP&L (Material Planning & Logistics) and Logistics is preferable, new warehousing and logistics planning projects, and logistics automation project implementation. • Analytical & Problem-Solving Acumen: Possesses strong analytical, logical thinking, and systematic problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Demonstrated knowledge of line balancing, time study, material flow, and capacity planning is essential. • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with a strong ability to convey information effectively and collaborate proactively as a team player, supporting colleagues and team objectives. • Adaptability & Proactive Work Ethic: Exhibits an open mind, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to change. Demonstrates a proactive, "can-do" attitude, taking initiative and approaching challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. • Resilience & Flexibility: Capable of maintaining performance and composure under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and adapting to various work schedules, including any shift, rotating shifts, and weekends. • Leadership Potential: Shows capacity for effective leadership, including the ability to assign work to a unionized hourly workforce and hold employees accountable for adhering to safety, quality, and throughput processes.
