Stryten Energy is currently recruiting for a Wet Formation Process Attendent to join our facility in Manchester, Iowa. The Process Attendant processes batteries in the formation room including overseeing the computerized and the manual system.
Hours are 1:45pm - 10:00pm Thurs & Fri and 6:00am - 6:00pm Sat & Sun $26.04 and hour + $1.20 shift differential

Responsibilities Understand and communicate in simple English.Must be able to perform basic match computations and operate computer-forming program.Must be able to work as a team member (approx. 20 people) with minimal supervision.Must learn and follow quality control specifications.Will be responsible for the proper procedures during the forming process of 30,000 batteries.Must comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and coworkers. This includes shower and shampoo at the completion of each work shift.Must satisfy attendance requirements as written in company policy.Follow Lean Manufacturing Procedures.Comply with current Quality Systems RequirementsPerform other work as assigned by Management.Must successfully complete the level 1 material handling training and be licensed for the equipment used. Mechanical skillsPrevious manufacturing or related experiencePhysical Requirements:
Continuous standing, walking and bending for 12 hr shifts. Repetitious work.Must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, hardhat, and metatarsal guard shoes, etc. as outlined in established policy.Will be continually exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, humid, cold, sulfuric acid fumes and electrical hazards).Will be exposed to acid, water and DC current.Will handle barrels weighing up to 150 pounds. Repetitious lifting of 30-70 pounds.Commercial line lift from 30-90 pounds.Equipment Used:
Hydrometer, thermometer, computer, pen/pencil, voltmeter, flashlight, walkie, and cable ends.PC w/ various software for production use.
