The Process Area Leader is responsible for and works with team members to meet set objectives for their assigned production lines in the areas of safety, quality, reliability, scrap and TPM.

You Will
Ensure all blow molder process settings are accurate and within the standard process parameters
Train team members to use SAP to perform routine functions such as label returns, scrap, and downtime
Perform material-handling duties, which includes scrap grinding and material loading
Follow production schedule and work orders so that correct product is being produced
If lines are not running to standard, determine reasons and best course of action to make appropriate repairs/improvements. Identify, prioritize and report problems with recommended solutions to be addressed during scheduled downtime
Focus on Continuous Improvement in the areas of maintenance, safety, quality, reliability and productivity. Accountable for maintaining a Lean Culture
Ensure quality product through proper testing, data entry into SAP and observations. Initiate action for food safety issues
Ensure effective communications are flowing between shifts. (shift change hand off)
Direct and monitor the workflow and daily work functions of the team
Responsible for ensuring required and appropriate associate training is occurring, mentor and qualify associates using the Technical Training paths as guides. (Train, mentor and quality) for completion
Provide input to Cell Leader on performance evaluations and on disciplinary actions
You Have
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
Self-motivation and flexibility of job assignments
Blend of technical, interpersonal skills, continuous learning through training and knowledgeable in manufacturing systems
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong Leadership skills
Proficient in computer programs and demonstrated SAP knowledge and transaction competence
Must be off orientation and in good company standing (if internal applicant)
Internal training requirements for current position (if internal candidate) must be completed and up to date
Able to multitask in a faced-paced environment and have strong organizational skills
High level of personal integrity and possess a strong safety focus
Strong Decision-making skills with limited information
Independent thinker and effective troubleshooter

Standing/walking continuously during entire shift. Frequently walking is performed at a moderate pace in order to respond to machine and equipment breakdown.
Able to lift 40 lbs. continuously; and able to lift 70 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
Postural activities include climbing, maneuvering, bending, stooping, kneeling. Crouching, crawling above, under and around machinery, equipment and conveyors continuously throughout entire shift.
Reaching, handling, touching grasping machine parts, controls, control panels, levers, switches continuously while repairing machines.
Continuously use the bilateral upper extremities to reach, handle, grip and grasp, push and pull, finger and feel, turn, wrench, etc. Forceful grasping, pinching, pushing, and pulling with hand tools to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, platforms and scaffolding to repair machine and equipment frequently throughout entire shift.
Ability to work in non-permit required confined spaces and at heights of 15’ to 20’.
