Description We are looking for a skilled Probate Attorney to join our legal team in Orinda, California. In this role, you will handle probate and trust litigation matters, managing cases through all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and court appearances. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex legal issues while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Manage probate and trust litigation cases from inception through resolution. • Prepare and draft legal motions, briefs, and other necessary documentation. • Conduct thorough discovery processes, including depositions and interrogatories. • Represent clients effectively in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic guidance and address their legal needs. • Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations relevant to probate and trust litigation. • Develop case strategies and prepare for trial, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients. • Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with all legal standards. • Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions when appropriate. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on probate and trust matters. • Active licensure as an attorney in the state of California. • Strong skills in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documents. • Proficiency in conducting discovery, including depositions and interrogatories. • Solid courtroom experience, including trial preparation and representation. • In-depth knowledge of probate laws and trust litigation. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
