**We are looking for:**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated QC Supervisor for our busy UKAS Accredited Test Laboratory. The role will involve managing a small team of laboratory assistants involved in the flame resistant testing of PROBAN textiles produced by our global network of licensed customers
**We count on you for:**
+ to ensure that test results are provided to the customers to meet the service level agreement of the laboratory.
+ will eventually be the lead contact during the laboratory’s annual UKAS visit and be responsible for providing evidence to clear any identified non-compliances.
+ will need to maintain the system for calibrating test apparatus to meet UKAS requirements. Where necessary, the candidate will carry out confidence checks of laboratory equipment.
+ will ensure that interlaboratory and intralaboratory exercises are conducted and will review the data to ensure that the laboratory’s competence is maintained.
+ When required in periods of high activity or for holiday cover, will be involved in flame retardant testing of samples received by the laboratory.
+ will be involved in internal auditing meetings and will oversee the submission of corrective actions to clear any non-compliances.
+ will be involved in raising job notes to the site maintenance team to ensure that key equipment and the infrastructure of the laboratory areas are maintained.
+ will liaise with external manufacturers of test equipment when issues are found.
+ will carry out performance reviews for the laboratory team and be involved in setting annual objectives.
+ will be responsible for raising orders for and maintaining the inventory of consumables used by the laboratory.
+ will have responsibility for the PROBAN labelling scheme for licensees/garment manufacturers.
+ will be the main point of contact for PROBAN quality related enquiries from our global network of licensees.

**You will bring:**
+ Qualified to Degree, HND or equivalent.
+ Supervisory experience (track record of managing staff).
+ Experience of working within a Quality System, preferably UKAS or ISO 9001.
+ Proficient in MS and Google based Systems.
+ An understanding of test methods/performance standards.
+ Practically minded.
+ Good problem solving skills.
**The successful candidate must have:**
+ Experience of managing personnel and have an in-depth knowledge of maintaining a Quality System.

**Additional information:**
+ This role is located in the UK at our Oldbury, West Midlands site. The site is close to major roads, Langley Green train station and many bus routes.
+ The role is office/laboratory based, 5 days/week (Mon-Fri).
