Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing + Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) + External applicants: two years of recent experience in an acute care setting + Internal applicants with less than two years' experience, but post orientation/90-day probationary period, could be considered with the Chief Nursing Officer level review and approval + Will consider military RN experience + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) + (ONS) Chemo/Bio course complete within 2 years of employment if employed on units inpatient and/or outpatient where chemo is administered.
