Private Asset Operations Analyst

Job Summary

The Private Asset Operations Analyst is a multi-discipline role which encompasses investment, operational and accounting knowledge in support of Thrivent’s Private Equity, Private Equity Real Estate, Private Debt, Private High Yield, and Private Asset Backed portfolios. The Private Asset Operations Analyst displays an understanding of investment operations and is a contributor to daily operations. The position is responsible for providing a wide range of portfolio and security-level reporting, transactional analysis, investment structure analysis, and regulatory reporting as part of the operational support team.

         

          

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Maintains internal private asset processes (structure analysis, investment/derivatives system set-up and tracking, reporting, basic ownership structure analysis, distribution review, cash monitoring and movement). Engages with Private Asset Operations Senior Analyst regarding transactional activity.  Assists the process for NAIC SVO regulatory reporting/filing process for private debt.  Assists in bringing industry best practices and internal requirements to administrative vendor and custodial relationships. Engages regularly with internal and external legal counsel regarding investment and fund legal issues.  Ensures timely and accurate data entry across internal systems. Assists with annual audit and tax requests.  Models Thrivent’s leadership competencies – courage, collaboration, and commitment by demonstrating resiliency, working together to make the best decisions, and holding yourself and others accountable. Supports and/or develops an environment in which Thrivent employees and colleagues are focused on continuous improvement, exceptional employee engagement, and an unwavering commitment to our clients. Job Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related degree.   0-3 years finance, accounting or investment operations experience.   Familiarity with private capital markets and hands-on portfolio support. Ability and eagerness to work collaboratively in a team environment.  Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills among all organizational levels. High level of organization and attention to detail.  Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite.  

Preferred:

Understanding of private asset structures, such as limited partnerships and closed-end funds. Familiarity with private asset treasury function and related processes. Ability to learn quickly the relevant systems, fund administration/custody functional roles.  Ability to prioritize work against enterprise, division, and product strategies; can effectively communicate rationale and impact for prioritization choices.  Demonstrated skills to coordinate work with and motivate stakeholders.  

Additional Information

This position requires you to work on-site in Minneapolis, MN a minimum of 3 days a week.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $79,938.00 - $108,152.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
