Privacy and Governance Analyst

Sinclair, Inc. is seeking a Privacy & Data Governance Analyst to strengthen and scale our global privacy and data compliance efforts as we expand and enhance our data architecture and operations and further leverage AI. In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing data subject rights requests, supporting data discovery and classification, assisting with vendor risk reviews, and helping operationalize compliance with evolving privacy regulations such as the CPRA and GDPR. 
 
Ideal candidates will have a track record of working across different products and parts of an organization to achieve results, both independently and as part of a larger team. You should be a connector, someone who can work in a matrixed organization to bring stakeholders and others together to execute and achieve goals. You’ll work cross-functionally with Legal, IT, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure the responsible use of personal data while promoting a culture of privacy by design and transparency. 

Key Responsibilities 

Use data privacy management platforms (e.g., Ketch, OneTrust, TrustArc) to manage DSAR workflows, configure consent signals, and support overall privacy operations  Leverage data discovery and classification tools (e.g., BigID, Varonis, Collibra) to identify and document personal data across systems  Support IT and Security in implementing privacy-by-design measures such as cookie management, tracking audits, and tag governance  Analyze data from web and mobile apps to validate alignment with privacy policies and legal obligations  Use SQL or other data query tools to assist in request investigations or validate data mappings  Document data flows, processing activities, and third-party vendor risk assessments  Collaborate across departments to support privacy initiatives and raise awareness  Contribute to the enhancement of privacy tools, documentation, and internal processes  Monitor global privacy developments and assist in translating regulatory changes into actionable practices 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and certifications  1–3 years of experience in privacy, compliance, data governance, or related fields  Familiarity with privacy rights tools or interest in learning new platforms  Basic understanding of privacy by design and privacy regulations (e.g., CPRA, GDPR)  Experience with data mapping, process documentation, or risk assessments  Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through  Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams  Experience handling DSARs or managing consumer privacy workflows  Hands-on use of privacy or data classification tools  CIPP/US, CIPM, or other privacy certification (or intent to pursue one)

Let’s talk.   The base salary compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $85,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans ,flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
