**Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated Print Manager to oversee all aspects of print procurement, vendor relations, and the execution of direct mail campaigns. This role focuses on end-to-end production management rather than hands-on design. Familiarity with print-ready specifications for estimating, understanding of US postage requirements, and the ability to provide feedback on the producibility of proposed creative will ensure your success in this role. A background in graphic design is a plus but not required. The Print Manager will partner with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities:**
**1. Vendor & Procurement Management**
+ Research, evaluate, and select print vendors, letter shops, and data providers.
+ Negotiate pricing, contracts, terms, and service-level agreements to secure competitive rates and quality deliverables.
+ Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with vendors; monitor performance metrics and resolve issues promptly.
+ Coordinate procurement of materials and services in line with client sustainability and compliance guidelines.
1. **Project & Budget Oversight**
+ Develop and manage comprehensive production schedules, timelines, and budgets for print and direct mail campaigns.
+ Issue detailed print specifications, mailing timelines, and cost estimates to vendors and internal stakeholders.
+ Create purchase orders, track expenses, process vendor invoices, and reconcile final costs for billing.
+ Implement tracking systems to monitor project milestones, delivery status, and overall campaign performance.
1. **Direct Mail Campaign Execution**
+ Coordinate data acquisition, list management, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
+ Oversee personalization, addressing, and mailing logistics through partner letter shops.
+ Ensure postal regulation compliance (address formats, postage rates, delivery schedules).
+ Track delivery outcomes, response rates, and campaign ROI; provide clients with performance analysis and optimization recommendations.
1. **Quality Assurance & Compliance**
+ Conduct rigorous quality checks on proofs and printed materials to ensure brand consistency and technical accuracy.
+ Facilitate press checks or remote reviews to verify color, resolution, and layout standards.
+ Audit final campaigns, postage, and production costs to support client billing and internal reporting.
1. **Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership**
+ Serve as primary liaison between creative, account, finance, and operations teams to align production goals and deliverables.
+ Lead vendor kick-off meetings, status calls, and post-mortem reviews to drive continuous improvement.
+ Mentor and guide junior print-production staff, freelancers, or interns as needed.
1. **File & Design Support**
+ Update and prepare print-ready design files (e.g., adjust layouts, revise copy, export PDFs) as required.
+ Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or similar tools is a plus — training will be provided.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications:**
+ 4+ years in print procurement, production management, or direct mail operations.
+ Proven expertise in vendor negotiation, cost control, and project coordination.
+ Strong understanding of print production processes, mailing services, and postal regulations.
+ Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, including fluent written and spoken English for effective vendor relations and stakeholder engagement.
+ Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello), Microsoft Office Suite, and basic spreadsheet analysis for budgeting and reporting.
+ Understanding and usage of Altair is a plus.
+ Comfort working with design teams and reviewing print-ready files; hands-on design skills (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or formal design experience is a plus.
