Amazon is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Launch and Expansion Program Planning Manager to lead the function EU PMO. This individual will develop and improve the existing planning mechanisms, enabling business teams to interact with and consume plans, whilst enabling planning and deployment teams to execute on a continuous basis.
This individual will drive global parity for OP planning, Capex spend, resource allocation and business reporting for all Launch and Expansion business functions introducing strong risk management mechanisms, working within and across functions and stakeholder groups.
Key job responsibilities
Ownership of end to end approvals process and associated risk management mechanisms
Centralised development and ownership of project tracking mechanisms including MBR, QBR, Capex tracking, HC allocation and the Launch and Expansion Business Rhythm
Coordination of strategy and planning between EU & NA (and RoW) teams for WW alignment
Collaboration with partner teams across Engineering, Design and Construction, Global Realty, Finance, Operations, WHS, ACES, others to create harmonised and integrated program plans, solving for long-term challenges
A day in the life
Typically working across all of the Launch and Expansion functions ensuring that program plans are integrated, on track and where risks are identified, work to establish the path to green. They will also work closely with partner functions such as Global Reality, Design and Construction, Finance to ensure that all plans aligned.
This role will both coach the team and also hold to account for milestone delivery. Strong relationships are essential in helping both identify and mitigate risks / issues. The role will continuously iterate on the control and reporting mechanisms to ensure the remain agile and fit for purpose.

The EU Launch and Expansion team owns the planning and execution for all AMZL / AMXL infrastructure projects including new station launch, parking and retrofits, new country launch, automation planning, idle asset management and portfolio lifecycle planning.
