Principle Designer
Job Description A client is looking for a Principal/lead Designer to drive transformative, customer-centered creative across streaming digital surfaces. This is a high-impact role where design excellence, systems thinking, and strategic leadership converge. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across editorial, product, marketing, and technology to define design frameworks and creative systems that scale. You’ll also be working across major properties in our client's portfolio, helping shape how millions of customers experience these iconic brands across the platform. What You’ll Do • Partner with the Sr. Director and the Art Director to develop and implement transformative creative concepts that elevate platform experiences and drive customer growth and engagement. • Set creative direction and lead execution across cross-platform editorial and promotional content on owned and operated properties — including product surfaces, CRM, and campaign-driven landing pages. • Author creative briefs, define requirements, and articulate strategic vision to align creative output with business and customer objectives. • Design and evolve scalable systems for imagery, templates, and metadata-driven workflows, enabling automation of high-velocity content like sports, live events, and seasonal programming. • Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketing leads, and editorial teams to solve complex design and workflow challenges across platforms. • Apply expertise in UX/UI and responsive product design to improve how customers discover, navigate, and engage with content. • Use motion design and After Effects to enhance storytelling, interactivity, platform and marketing aesthetics. • Contribute to the exploration and implementation of AI tools and prompt engineering, pushing creative boundaries and improving efficiency. • Mentor and guide junior and senior designers, promoting high standards in craft, collaboration, and communication. Skills and Requirements • 8+ years of digital design experience, ideally in streaming, sports, media, or a related industry. • Portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end product and editorial design work, with a focus on systems thinking, brand storytelling, and customer-centered execution. • Proven experience building and evolving design systems for large-scale content automation and platform optimization. • Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Photoshop and prototyping tools. • Deep understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, and customer behavior across web, mobile, and TV. • Strategic thinker and problem solver, with a collaborative mindset and experience working across multiple disciplines. • Passion for innovation and creative exploration, with working knowledge of emerging tools like AI-assisted design and prompt engineering. • Experience or familiarity with HTML5, JavaScript, p5.js or interest in creative coding is a plus. • Experience, familiarity or interest with AR/MR/XR creative and design space is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership. • A mentorship-driven leadership style rooted in curiosity, empathy, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
