We are hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team as a Product Operations Lead. If you join the Responsible AI team, you will join an organization committed to partnering with stakeholders across policy, research, and engineering to help every product team in Microsoft and our customers ship these evolving technologies responsibly. In this role, you will drive operations for the Responsible AI organization – helping to create a thriving and effective environment for a team operating at speed and scale. You will also manage cross-company engagements and initiatives. This role requires an understanding of generative AI use cases and responsible AI, a keen sense of product to support responsible AI commitments while keeping product innovation in mind, and technical background to support development of responsible AI technologies. **Responsibilities** + Develop and manage organization operations + Manage cross-company engagements and communications + Develop and support unique initiatives and projects as needed **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in technical program management + OR equivalent experience. + 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. + 8+ years experience designing and operating processes and initiatives for technical organizations **Other Requirements:** Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: + Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience in Responsible AI or Digital Safety + Experience with Generative AI. Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
