Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a program out of our Aurora, CO office.
Position Overview:
Responsible for team's implementation of element level requirements and relaying system perspective to development team for how this element works in context of the greater system of systems. Interface with all levels of management, employees, and internal and external customersThis position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of applicationBachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhDExperience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test proceduresExperience working on Agile programs and methodologyExperience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence)Experience with Cameo and DOORSStrong written and oral communications skillsBasic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:

Technical experience developing and fielding command and control systems (TT&C, Flight Dynamics, etc) for Space SystemsFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Experience serving as a team Scrum Master, or an understanding of Agile Scrum Master roles and responsibilitiesSalary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
