Principal Systems Engineer (Splunk)

**The Position**
As a Splunk Engineer, you will be accountable for the design, implement, and maintain Splunk-based solutions for monitoring, analyzing, and visualizing machine-generated data.
You will also require collaborating with the global team, cross-functional teams and managed service team to align the Splunk solutions with business needs.
This is a full-time position, with hybrid working model.
**Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Manage the complete system lifecycle of a large-scale, high-availability Splunk and Splunk Enterprise Security infrastructure.
+ Continuously optimizing and automating the Splunk Infrastructure for addressing use case demands applying Infrastructure-as-Code
+ Manage existing and developing inhouse Splunk-Apps, including onboarding of new data sources and dashboard creation.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve Level 3 issues
+ Create technical documentation for Splunk configurations and use cases
+ Collaborating closely with other IT colleagues and cross functional team on a day-to-day basis for enabling, implementing, and running Splunk and Splunk ES use-cases.
**Requirements:**
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise administration in on-premises, cloud or hybrid environment.
+ Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI)
+ Experience with Splunk Cloud
Mandatory Skills:
+ Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture and experience with data onboarding techniques
+ Sound knowledge of Linux system administration, Ansible, Python and Bash scripting skills
+ Strong motivation to work in an agile operating model
+ Strong communication skills and experience in supporting and collaborating with an international user community
+ Dedication to growth by demonstrating an always learning culture
+ Fluent written and spoken English
+ Able to balance the Big Picture’s view with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
