We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer – Scrum Master where your experience working complex product roadmaps, backlog grooming, prioritization, stand-ups, demo’s and retrospectives will be put to good use.  The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do

Lead project teams through proper Agile practices within the overall program agile strategyConduct full Agile ceremony, including sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, demos and retrospectives to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor to ensure business objectives and goals are metWork with your Team to maintain healthy backlog of well written stories that are development readyWork with Integration and Test Team and Product Management to create effective story point estimatesWork closely with the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and other Agile team members (Product Owners and Scrum Masters) to coordinate the delivery of features and capabilitiesDrive execution within the Agile Development Team (ADT) to ensure collective objectives are met within the PIs through regular focus group sessionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and elaborate work packages and features ensuring alignment with project goals and customer needs.Assist in the integration and testing of system components, facilitating the validation and verification process to ensure successful feature sell-off and system functionality.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field and minimum 8+ years of prior relevant experienceExperience on a software government contract and experience with the Atlassian resource suite, specifically: Jira and ConfluenceExperience working in an Agile or DevOps development environment and being part of a highly integrated team working closely with SW, Integration and Verification teamsExperience in managing product roadmaps, backlog grooming, and collaborative development workflowsExperience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and experience in executing Agile processes at scale

Qualifications We Prefer

Scrum Master experienceExperience working in a software development environment with Systems Engineering teamsKnowledge of systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions in one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validationExperience overseeing and/or leading Systems Engineering teamsExperience communicating status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including senior management and customers

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
